Are you guys into D&D? I tried to get into it when I was a kid in middle school, and there was a group of kids who played it in the cafeteria at lunchtime. I asked to join and they said sure, told me to come back when I had a character. So I did that, they let me join, then immediately killed my character and told me to go make another one and come back. So I did and they killed that one off too, had a laugh, and told me to bug off. Jerks. I've never felt very warm and fuzzy about D&D people since. I tell you, when you're not cool enough to hang with the D&D kids, that hurts!
but what has me absolutely LOL is Steph's comment--OMG! I seriously almost fell out of my chair!!! I am so sorry to laugh at your middle school experiences (awful kids!), but you have seriously made my day...thank you thank you thank you!
and, yes, Heidi--you are SUCH a geek--that's why I loooove you--we are ALL geeks together :)...I think this post just proves it--geek stories are the best. oh, and I will try to make that cake for your birthday, ok? hee hee--I see a cake wreck coming...

Yeah, it's amazing how you can be 40 years old, and still a little bitter about middle school ;-)
After eseeing some of the cakes on that blog (the good ones) I wish I had the guts to make a really cool cake. That's an art form!
